A taste of the Caribbean in the heart of Paris ???????? Absolutely love the concept. Big Black Cook blends bold flavors with refined presentation. A must visit culinary gem. I tried the jerk chicken and colombia de poulet, both were a solid 7/10.

An unforgettable feast at Big Black Cook! We stumbled upon Big Black Cook and left completely blown away. The jerk chicken was perfectly spiced with a smoky heat that lingered just right — bold, flavorful, and fall-off-the-bone tender. The sweet chicken offered a beautiful contrast, sticky and rich with a caramelized glaze that made every bite addictive. And the wings? Crispy, juicy, and seasoned to perfection — we couldn’t stop eating them. The plantains were golden and sweet, the ideal sidekick to balance out the spices. You can taste the care and soul in every dish. This is comfort food at its finest — bold, vibrant, and deeply satisfying. Can’t wait to come back!

I’ve been in Paris for a week, eating at restaurants recommended by chefs and food publications, but this is one of only two restaurants so far I’d recommend to my friends and family. FINALLY food that has some different and bold flavors! I had the veggie burger and the fried plantain and the flavors immediately took me back to the (real, not resort!) Caribbean. It’s a small place so go a bit early or be prepared to queue a bit.

Service was great. Food was AMAZING, it had an abundance of flavor. We ordered the BBC cocktail, ropa vieja, fried plantains and red beans. It is a little pricey, but so worth it.

This spot unlocked my love for Caribbean food Tried the homemade jerk chicken — tender, flavorful, spicy in the best way — and it came with rice and coleslaw that hit just right. We also had the sweet BBQ chicken as a starter and wow… that glaze was next level Service was super friendly, food came out fast (big win). It’s a small place though, so get there early or risk missing out.
